Have you ever finished a meal, only to start thinking about your next one?
I used to think that was just how I was.
Breakfast, “What am I having for lunch?”
Lunch, “I wonder what’s for dinner.”
Dinner, “I could really use something sweet.”
It felt like food was constantly on my mind.
Now I know there can be so much more to the story.
Our bodies have incredible systems that help regulate hunger and fullness.
When those systems are well supported, we naturally feel satisfied after eating.
When they’re struggling, we may find ourselves:
- Craving sweets
- Looking for snacks
- Feeling “hangry”; that was ME. ALL the Time!
- Crashing in the afternoon
- Living on caffeine
I used to think this was normal. Now I realize my body was trying to tell me something.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is this:
Being hungry isn’t the problem.
Being hungry all the time might be a clue.
