Support your body before you ask it to perform.
One simple change I made every morning surprised me…
For years my mornings looked like this:
Wake up exhausted.
Coffee immediately (don’t do that!).
Rushing into my office.
Wonder why I was dragging by mid-morning.
I honestly thought that was normal.
Now my mornings look very different.
Before I even think about coffee, I do a few simple things that have made a bigger difference than I ever expected.
- I rehydrate first.
After 7–8 hours of sleep, our bodies naturally wake up a little dehydrated. I used to think drinking water with a drop of lemon essential oil was enough, but I learned that our cells also need minerals and electrolytes to actually use that water efficiently.
You know that I love my HYDRATED.
- I go outside.
Even just a few minutes of morning light while enjoying my high protein/fiber breakfast helps support my body’s natural circadian rhythm. I’ve noticed better energy during the day and, surprisingly, better sleep at night before having my coffee! And because I have Hashimoto’s, I also make sure to keep my thyroid medication well away from coffee, as recommended for better absorption.
- I slow down.
Instead of immediately jumping into the chaos of the day, I try to give my body a chance to wake up before asking it to perform.
These aren’t expensive habits.
They don’t require a gym membership.
They’re simple.
But sometimes the smallest habits become the biggest game changers.
I’m learning that good health isn’t usually about doing one massive thing…
It’s about doing a lot of small things consistently.
Tomorrow morning, try just one.
Drink your water.
Step outside for five minutes.
Take a deep breath.
Your body just might thank you.
