7-Day No Snacking Challenge

A Simple Metabolic Reset to Support Steadier Energy, Hunger & Blood Sugar

Give your body a break between meals. Support healthier insulin levels. And learn what real hunger actually feels like again.

Do you feel like you are always looking for something to eat?

A little something mid-morning. A handful of nuts in the afternoon. A protein bar in the car. A few bites while making dinner. Something sweet after dinner.

Most of us don’t even think of it as “snacking.” It has simply become normal.

But every time we eat, especially foods containing carbohydrates, our body has to respond.

Blood glucose rises. The pancreas releases insulin. And insulin helps move glucose out of the bloodstream so it can be used or stored.

The problem is that many of us rarely give insulin a chance to come back down before we eat again.

Breakfast. Coffee with creamer. Snack. Lunch. Afternoon snack. Another coffee. Dinner. Something while watching TV.

Your body can spend a large portion of the day in the fed state.

And this is one of the reasons I want to talk about insulin resistance.

What exactly is insulin resistance?

Insulin resistance develops when our cells become less responsive to insulin.

Your pancreas compensates by producing more insulin to accomplish the same job.

And here’s the part many people don’t realize:

Your blood sugar can still look “normal” for quite some time because your pancreas is working overtime producing more insulin.

That means metabolic changes may be developing long before someone is told that their glucose or A1C is a problem.

This is why I believe we need to start paying attention earlier.

Could your body already be giving you clues?

Some signs and conditions commonly associated with insulin resistance or metabolic dysfunction include:

  • stubborn belly fat or an increasing waistline
  • difficulty losing weight
  • feeling hungry soon after eating
  • frequent cravings, especially for carbohydrates or sweets
  • afternoon energy crashes
  • feeling tired after meals
  • high blood pressure
  • elevated triglycerides
  • fatty liver
  • skin tags or darkened areas of skin
  • PCOS or irregular cycles
  • gestational diabetes
  • fertility issues
  • sleep apnea
  • frequent migrains
  • low testosterone or erectile dysfunction
  • elevated fasting glucose or A1C
  • eventually, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes

Interestingly, Benjamin Bikman, PhD, includes belly fat, high blood pressure, elevated triglycerides, post-lunch fatigue, skin tags/darkened skin, PCOS/gestational diabetes and low testosterone/erectile dysfunction among signs that may warrant looking more closely at insulin resistance.

And insulin resistance isn’t just about diabetes.

In his book Why We Get Sick, metabolic scientist Benjamin Bikman explores the connections between insulin resistance and a wide range of chronic conditions involving the cardiovascular system, liver, brain, reproductive system and more.

Why the

NO SNACKING

part matters

This challenge isn’t about starving yourself.

And it definitely isn’t about eating tiny meals.

Actually, it’s the opposite.

For seven days, I want you to eat real, satisfying, balanced meals and then give your body approximately 4–5 hours without food before eating again.

Think:

MEAL → PAUSE → MEAL → PAUSE → MEAL → overnight break

Instead of:

MEAL → snack → coffee calories → snack → MEAL → snack → MEAL → dessert → snack

The goal is not perfection.

The goal is to become aware of how often we are asking our bodies to process food.

For just seven days, we’re changing that rhythm.

Your challenge

For the next seven days:

Eat 3 satisfying meals.
Include plenty of protein.
Include fiber and healthy fats.
Choose mostly whole, minimally processed carbohydrates.
Aim for approximately 4–5 hours between meals.
Drink water between meals.
And skip the snacks.

If you’re starving two hours after breakfast, I don’t want you thinking:

I have no willpower.

I want you asking:

What was missing from my breakfast?

Did you have enough protein? Fiber? Healthy fat? Was it actually enough food?

That is information.

Your hunger is giving you feedback.

This is exactly the philosophy already built into your guide: when hunger shows up early, strengthen the next meal with more protein, healthy fats, fiber or adequate portions.

Want to make this MUCH easier?

You can absolutely do this challenge with food alone.

But I also want you to know about the system I personally use and recommend because it was essentially designed around the same concept we’re practicing here.

The Feel Great System

It combines two products—Balance + Unimate—with time-based eating.

Balance is a pre-meal fiber drink designed to help reduce carbohydrate absorption, support healthy blood glucose levels and help with satiety.

Unimate is a concentrated yerba mate drink designed to support satiety, energy, mental clarity and weight-management efforts.

And this is exactly why it fits this challenge so naturally.

The goal isn’t:

“Take something so you don’t have to eat.”

The goal is:

Build satisfying meals + reduce the impact of the carbohydrates you eat + make the hours between meals easier.

Unicity itself describes Feel Great as a combination of Balance, Unimate and intermittent/time-based eating, with the products intended to make staying satisfied between meals and extending the overnight fasting window easier.

So you have two choices for this challenge:

OPTION 1: Do the 7-Day No Snacking Challenge with food alone.

OPTION 2: Start with the Feel Great System and experience how much easier this rhythm can feel when you have additional support for satiety, cravings, energy and healthy glucose metabolism.

Either way, I want you here.

Because seven days of paying attention to your hunger, meals, energy and eating patterns can teach you a LOT about your body.

Ready? Let’s do this together.

THERE’S SO MUCH MORE WAITING FOR YOU

If you’re new here, there’s something else I’d love for you to know.

I have been doing this for a long time, and one of the things that matters most to me is education. I don’t ever want someone to buy something from me and then be left wondering, “Okay…now what?”

That’s why my clients with Unicity, MAKE Wellness – The Natural Peptide Company, and Young Living have access to my Integrative Nutrition Health Course.

Over the years, I’ve built it into a huge resource library with hundreds of recipes, guides, meal ideas and wellness resources covering so many of the things we talk about here—nutrition, blood sugar, gut health, protein, fiber, healthy habits and so much more.

It’s there to help you learn, understand your body better and actually put all of this information into practice in everyday life.

Because for me, it’s never been about one product. It’s about giving you tools, education and support that you can keep using.

And this little 7-day challenge is a perfect place to begin.
